This does not bother me in the slightest. Things that pushed me toward the edge: I admit that I think I may have liked this book a whole lot more the first time I read it. Grave Sight 4 Stars Harper Connelly has the unique ability to sense not only the whereabout of human remains, but also the cause of death. Harper has some ahrris anxiety issues that only Tolliver can keep grounded. It held my interest to find out where things were headed all the way through so Charlaije recommend it, but it’s a fairly quick read and if I’m honest not a lot happened in this one.

I am weirdly addicted to Charlaine’s writing and her sighr will probably forever remain my guilty pleasure. Either she was panicking or she was so emotionally distant and cold that there is no other word to desribe it but frigid.
I almost closed the book right there. We are experiencing technical difficulties. Her brother Tolliver is a bit of a mystery too and I’m still not sure what makes him tick. Stan Jones and Patricia Watts.
They spend the rest of the book regretting that decision and trying to figure out who-done-it, so they can get out of there. Through a series of events Harper and Tolliver become entwined in the investigation of the two deaths despite desperately wanting to leave town. Jan 18, Aimee rated it liked it. I did some skimming through the middle, as we descended to one note, everyone hating on Harper as she grimly sihht forward to assemble clues.

It’s sad, because I quite liked the first few books of the Sookie Stackhouse series, but now I’m even doubting myself on that. Usually looked upon with suspicion, they travel when hired to answer questions for the bereaved or law enforcement. Were there any personalities in this book?
Harper is not the most endearing heroine we’ve ever read about. They are really two-dimensional and you just So she is called out to this small town to find a body of a girl that went missing a while back.
Harper Connellythe central character of the novel, has the ability to sense the location and last memories of dead people, a result of being struck by lightning as a young teenager. A lot of the townsfolk think that the boy, Dell, must have shot the girl, Teenie, and then killed himself.
The small-town cast is fairly easy to keep track of, and everyone seems to be connected somehow. In the end, though, I was interested enough to seek out the second book. I love the concepts and am warming up to the characters. Great new series by this author. That is just what I thought when I started reading it. Unfortunately, this is not up to scratch when compared to her Sookie Stackhouse series.
